I am sitting 

In the morning 
At the diner 
On the corner 

 

저는 오늘아침 
길 모퉁이 
식당에 
앉아 있지요.

 

I am waiting 
At the counter 
For the man 
To pour the coffee 

 

카운터의 남자가 
커피를 
부어주길 
기다리고 있는데, 

 

And he fills it 
Only halfway 
And before 
I even argue 

 

그는 커피를 
반만 채워 주는군요 
전에 내가 불평을 
했는데도 말이죠.

 

He is looking 
Out the window 
At somebody 
Coming in 

 

그는 창 밖으로 
누가 
걸어들어오는 것을 
보고있네요.

 

"It is always 
Nice to see you"
Says the man 
Behind the counter 

 

"당신을 만나는건 
언제나 즐겁군요" 
카운터의 
그남자는 

 

To the woman 
Who has come in 
She is shaking 
Her umbrella 

 

들어와서 
우산을 털고있는 
그여자를 향해 
말합니다.

 

And I look 
The other way 
As they are kissing 
Their hellos 

 

그리고 전 
그들이 키스로 
인사를 할때 
다른곳을 봅니다.

 

I'm pretending 
Not to see them 
And Instead 
I pour the milk 

 

전 그들을 
못 본척 하느라
커피잔에 
우유를 붓고 있어요.

 

I open 
Up the paper 
There's a story 
Of an actor 

 

저는 신문을 
펼쳐 들어요 
거기엔 한 배우의 
이야기가 실렸어요 

 

Who had died 
While he was drinking 
He was no one 
I had heard of 

 

그는 술먹다가 
죽었다는 군요. 
저는 한번도  
들어본 적 없는 사람 이예요 .

 

And I'm turning 
To the horoscope 
And looking 
For the funnies 

 

그리고 저는 
오늘의 별점을 보아요 
그리곤 재미있는 읽을거릴 
찾아 보지요. 

 

When I'm feeling 
Someone watching me 
And so 
I raise my head 

 

누군가가 
저를 주시하는 느낌이 들어 
저는 머리를 
세워 봅니다. 

 

There's a woman 
On the outside 
Looking inside 
Does she see me? 

 

거기엔 한여자가 
밖에서 안쪽을 
들여다 보네요 
절 보고 있는 걸까요? 

 

No she does not 
Really see me 
Cause she sees 
Her own reflection 

 

아니예요 
실은 유리에 비치는 
자신의 모습을  
보고 있네요. 

 

 
And I'm trying 
Not to notice 
That she's hitching 
Up her skirt 

 

 
그녀가 치마를  
걷어 올리는 것을  
전 못본체 하려고  
노력 하고 있지요 .

 

And while she's 
Straightening her stockings 
Her hair 
Is getting wet 

 

그녀가 스타킹을 
고쳐 신는 동안  
그녀의 머리는  
젖어 들어가네요 .

 

Oh, this rain 
It will continue 
Through the morning 
As I'm listening 

 

오 이런, 이 비는 
계속 내릴 거예 
오전 내내 말이에요 
제가 듣고있는 동안 

 

To the bells 
Of the cathedral 

 

성당의 
종소리 말이에요. 

 

I am thinking 
Of your voice... 

 

전 생각하고 있어요 
당신의 목소리를...

 

And of the midnight picnic 
Once upon a time 
Before the rain began...

 

그리고 그옛날 
그비가 오기전의 
한밤의 피크닉도요. 

 

I finish up my coffee 
It's time to catch the train 

커피를 다 마셨어요.
